Nouakchott, Mauritania, 02/23 - Mauritania has issued Senegal with 270 new pelagic fishing licences and 10 industrial fishing licences in its territorial waters, official sources said here on Wednesday.
In exchange, five industrial fishing licences have also been granted to Mauritanian fishermen for Senegal`s territorial waters.
These acts are in the new draft agreement between Senegal and Mauritania signed Tuesday in Nouakchott by Mauritania`s Fisheries and Maritime Economy Minister, Sidi Mohamed Ould Sidina, and Senegalese Maritime Economy Minister Djibo Ka.
The two countries have also expressed their willingness to enhance co-operation at bilateral and sub-regional levels.
